Feltouch and Bilkent University Present Important Paper: “Objective and Subjective Assessment of PET-Felt Recycled Panels as an Acoustic Treatment in Meeting Rooms”

The INTER-NOISE 2024 Congress, held in Nantes, France, is a prestigious international conference and a leading event in the field of acoustics. This conference serves as a platform for experts, engineers, and academics from around the world to share the latest research and advancements in sound and acoustics.

At this conference, Asst. Prof. Semiha Yılmazer from the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design at Bilkent University presented a significant paper titled “Objective and Subjective Assessment of PET-Felt Recycled Panels as an Acoustic Treatment in Meeting Rooms.” This paper, a collaborative effort with Feltouch, provided a comprehensive analysis of the effectiveness of recycled PET-felt panels in enhancing acoustic performance in meeting rooms, examining both objective and subjective aspects. The project highlighted innovative material usage and sustainable approaches, reflecting the joint efforts of Feltouch and Bilkent University.

In addition to presenting the paper, Asst. Prof. Yılmazer served as a session chair at INTER-NOISE 2024, where valuable insights on improving acoustic performance and promoting sustainable design practices were shared.
