Feltouch Participates in the “I2P - Idea to Product” Project in Collaboration with IstanbulSMD and MEF University

The “I2P – Idea to Product” studio, launched in 2023 through a collaboration between IstanbulSMD and the Faculty of Art, Design, and Architecture at MEF University, continues this year with support from Feltouch. Aiming to enhance architecture students’ knowledge of materials and industry awareness, the project included visiting Feltouch’s production facility in Düzce, where students observed sustainable material production firsthand.

As part of the i2p: idea to product course, which aims to bridge the gap between academia and manufacturers, we organized the third technical tour to introduce students to materials and demonstrate production processes on-site. This visit took place at the Feltouch Acoustics production facility in Düzce.

During this visit, students had the opportunity to explore a wide range of products crafted from processed industrial felt, including acoustic panels, decorative partitions, furniture attachments, and pendant lighting. Additionally, they learned about ZeroFelt, our zero-waste project that focuses on reintroducing waste felt back into production, hearing the inspiring story behind its development.

We thank İstanbulSMD, MEF University, our students, the entire Feltouch team, and our course leader, Erhan Vural, for making this visit possible. We sincerely hope to see an increase in manufacturers who are as open to sharing knowledge and as committed to contributing to education as Feltouch.
